Could you save money on heating by using your heating controls?

If you often have the heating on, you may be able to save money on your bill by doing one or more of these 4 things:

(You can find out how to do these things in the videos below.)

1

Set your heating to come on around 30 minutes before you need it.

2

Make sure you turn the heating off when you are not home and during the night.

3

Use the thermostatic radiator valves to switch off radiators in rooms you are not using.

4

If it feels warm enough, turn the heating down by 1 degree.

Important notice:  If you can, it is best to keep your home between 18 and 21 degrees.  But, if you need to stay warmer because of a medical condition, please only change the temperature of your home/room if it is safe.
